Print: Drukkerij Cortjens A non-place is a place of a transitory, temporary nature causing them not to be considered a real place. There are barely any cultural or historical references present, making them universal; the place might as well be in Maastricht as in New York. The space under a bridge is a typical non-place, we walk under a bridge without being aware of this place. For this project I made a photo series that shows the void as well as the dynamics of these non-places. These images formed the foundation for line drawings that enhances the spaciousness and dynamics of non-places and further implements the simplicity.
